STROKES of LUXURY

Beautiful. Distinctive. Luxurious.

About Susan

Developing her natural artistic ability for years, Susan did not have any
formal training in the Arts.  Utilizing the artistic gene passed down from
her mother, Lucyna, the creations Susan produces are truly free-flowing.

History, Hope and Survival

These pictures (Mother Mary, Jesus Christ and Saint Christopher) were
created from memory. Expressing compassion, a German soldier
provided Lucyna with the pencil and scrap pieces of paper she used to
draw her images, reminding her that if she was caught with the items she
would surely be executed.

After working 12-15 hour days, Lucyna would retreat to the barracks
where she would draw by the only light glittering from a small stove. She
drew these images to give her strength and hope, to survive the human
catastrophe of the times. Only three members of her family survived,
including Lucyna. Intent on keeping the pictures of the icons that gave
her the will and hope to survive, Lucyna hid the drawings in the lining of
her clothes.
Susan wants to share these pictures with you because she believes they
bring luck, hope and inspiration to all who not only appreciate the talents
of our earlier generations, but who also respect the human spirit and the
trials they had to overcome.
